I feel like these new designs were meant to make the characters more animated friendly by unifying the art styles and cleaning up details So long as angel lives in the hotel, valentino has no power over angel dust. Like the original designs would be good for a sporadic indie short series on youtube, but these new designs are better for a longer more episodic show with a bit more run time.
