Currently considering doing a simple axle dump exhaust setup on my 2020 v6 tacoma — basically chopping the tailpipe after the muffler and fabricating. The 40 series delta flow muffler cranks out an aggressive tone that’s slightly louder than pro series mufflers and features the same, low interior resonance Typically you would simply weld in a muffler at an exhaust shop with lower production models like the i4 2.7
MagnaFlow Stainless Steel, Tru-X Universal Muffler - Satin Finish
The 2.7 hasnt changed since 2005 much so you can visit youtube and search for tacomas with 2.7 i4's and you'll find many likely have magnaflow etc welded in at a shop.
New product and yes they are in stock and ready to ship
Get rid of that unsightly tailpipe and resonator on your 2024 and up tacoma Over 30 years ago i did a little drag racing There was calculation we used for how much pipe was needed after the headers to get correct backpressure After that the pipe does nothing but move exhaust away from passengerrs
Not much point to this story except to confirm that all the magic happens within a few feet of the heads. What size is the exhaust where it meets the muffler If someone were to do a muffler swap would a 2.5 inch diameter be the size I will use the same muffler but dual exhausts instead of one and 2” piping instead of 2.5”
Will it sound dramatically different the single exhaust with the the super 40 muffler vs same muffler with duals
Thanks blue2010, dec 22, 2017 #7 The flowfx will deliver a deep mellow tone with moderate interior resonance.
