A small piece of dnr property on mica peak is about it for any public hunting and the now high use by hikers makes it pretty marginal In years past, i have shot grouse in that area, but the long, uphill hike to reach the ip property boundary to. Bear hunting on mica peakmaybe on of the seniors on here could pm me a good way to get up there for scouting Taking the liberty lake trail up sounded good but about half way the 5 year old was feeling it so if i could drive up closer then i can make it in further Kiddos love being out in the wild and for scouting i really like bringing them along so they can get involved and have fun tracking.

Looks like the two shooting places at rock lake are either clays only or members only Well for starters, i'd head up mica peak, it's close by, and there are deer/elk and bear on that hill with public access
