(fig 4 & 5) if this does not fix the leak, the faucet may have a damaged seat and the f faucet leaks from the vacuum breaker, on top of the faucet, when the faucet is on. However, if you encounter complex issues or persistent leaks, it’s best to call a qualified plumber for assistance. I have three of these type faucets on my house, and this happens to one every couple of years

One of my woodford 17 outside spigots was leaking from the top
When i went to remove the old one it was totally gunked with mineral deposits Used vinegar and backing soda and a toothbrush and it loosened up enough to use channel locks to get it started. Can i repair my woodford model 17 faucet myself
