Went to college for a degree in computer science Can’t land a job to save my life Feeling like it’s not for me anymore or maybe i’m just not cut out for it I respect farming and manual labor and all that involved

So what you do is you make a small observer clock that is constantly updating the dark block This way the villager plants crops there and they immediately break off once the block is updated by the clock The farmer will just stand there feeding it carrots until they are empty and then go to farm. My villager crop farm had that issue
If that is what's happening, give the trapped villager a different profession and lock it immediately If the farmer villager cant use his workstation he wont harvest, plant or throw crops These farms also take a few hours to stabilize in my experience before the food throwing become consistent. They’re insanely good at this as a result, and can mine & harvest basically everything except a few minor specific items (like extinction furniture and element rocks).

This is the mod that can give you custom farmer portraits, farmer portraits by aedenthorn. For anyone ever thinking about using farmer's respite in a modpack with reliquary, be aware there's a massive bug that will crash and constantly crash the game
