I'm using whatsapp web instead and using the feature download app from chrome which allow me to have the whatsapp web as an independent window and right now it works better than the official desktop app for catalina.

I reached out both whatsapp and apple support for this issue And apple asked to re install the update and i did but that didn't help Then whatsapp gave an explanation to the problem, that whatsapp web now isn't supported on mobile browsers and tablets browsers Since last night, whatsapp web on chrome and every other browser i've tried has been using way more cpu than it needs or had previously used
Why cant i download videos from the whatsapp web version via desktop everytime i click on a chat i can download all the pictures but as soon as i click on a video the download button disappears
This problem just started happening earlier this month
