Rukia's bankai is based around absolute zero, where as toshiro just seems to be ice in general Rukia's issue, at least when we first see her bankai, is that she can't move after it's activation and she requires a bit of time to safetly deactivate her ability (or she might break) Rukia pretty much knew the bond between orihime and ichigo was special that she specifically had ichigo apologize to her and promise to fight harder and become a stronger man I love many of the great moments between ichigo and rukia, but those scenes are clearly supposed to be them being close friends.
Rukia defends orihime one of my favorite moments featuring rukia would have to be when she stands up for orihime, which is probably due to my shipping heart I'm counting the entire sequence, from the moment orihime comes to rukia after urahara tells her she can't fight, to the part where rukia and orihime go to soul society and train together. Renji definitely had feelings for rukia and has a lot of history with her I'm honestly less upset about that pairing
At least rukia ended up being happy in the end
Would i have preferred ichigo and rukia But there's nothing i can do about that However, both rukia and renji becoming a couple at least makes sense to me. Rukia truly is deserving of all the good things that happen to her in the series finale
