Friends and colleagues of adams confirmed with wdet that adams died tuesday morning, after succumbing to an illness.
Judy bell competed in 38 usga championships during her amateur career, and was a member of two u.s Curtis cup teams, including the squad that won at england's lindrick golf club in 1960. Adams, who graduated from oakland university with a degree in harpsichord composition, was known for blending a variety of musical styles with calming, cozy interjections that cemented her presence.
